Body Checking removed from PeeWee Level across Canada.

Hockey Canada’s board of directors voted overwhelmingly, at its annual general meeting, in favour of eliminating bodychecking for all peewee players.

The nation-wide ban begins with the upcoming fall season.

The rule change approved at the AGM was: A modification to playing rule 6.2b, removing bodychecking from peewee levels and below within leagues governed by Hockey Canada, starting in 2013-14.
